What's actually in a complete inspection
Three integrated phases, performed in sequence, with documentation throughout.
Visual Inspection
A thorough walk-through of the conditioned spaces of your home or building. We look for:
- Visible mold growth
- Signs of past or active water damage
- Water intrusion points
- Breaches in the building envelope
- Visual clues of biotoxin contamination
Moisture Mapping
Moisture is the cause of mold. We map it systematically using:
- Thermal imaging cameras
- Pin-style and pinless moisture meters
- Room-by-room temperature readings
- Room-by-room relative humidity readings
Sampling & Testing
Once the visual inspection and moisture mapping is complete, we discuss testing options with you. Typical samples include:
- Air samples (mold and bacteria)
- Surface swab samples
- Tape lift surface samples
- Biotoxin sampling tailored to client needs
Remediation guidance and post-cleanup verification for medically sensitized individuals
One under-served area in our industry is the ability to offer consultation on remediation plans and post-remediation air and content cleaning specifically calibrated for medically sensitized individuals. AES provides exactly this service.
Rates vary based on the square footage of your home or building, your individual situation, and your specific needs and goals.
One size does not fit all.
Our inspections and consultations are designed around each individual client's needs and circumstances. A standardized approach negatively affects clients, because every environment is unique, and every situation is unique.
AES's goal is to keep things affordable, practical, and straightforward. Our ultimate aim is the best possible outcome within your individual parameters, drawing on years of professional recommendations and experience that have benefited our clients nationwide.
A few practical things to know before reaching out
Mold Litigation · Consult Role Only
Due to scheduling limitations and client demand, we are currently limited in our ability to work with clients involved in active mold litigation, or those in the process of planning to bring a lawsuit against a landlord or builder, outside of a consultation role.
Current Wait Time · 2-3 Weeks
Because of the amount of time we are honored to spend on each individual inspection, assessment, and resulting report, our current wait to take on a new client is approximately 2 to 3 weeks before we can conduct the inspection.
"Each of our clients deserves our undivided attention, and we choose to honor each of you respectfully."
So many of our clients are experiencing negative building and personal health effects, and biotoxin assessments are not something to be rushed. At AES, we choose quality over quantity every time. We look forward to working with you.
