Why roof moisture matters for your air
A slow roof or flashing leak rarely announces itself. Water tracks along rafters and sheathing, soaks into attic insulation, and shows up — weeks or months later — as a ceiling stain, a musty smell, or a mold problem in a room nowhere near the actual leak. By then the moisture has been feeding growth out of sight.

How infrared roof-moisture detection works
Wet roofing materials and saturated insulation hold and release heat differently than dry ones, so trapped moisture shows a distinct thermal signature an infrared camera can read — often revealing the extent of a leak that a visual look would miss. It's non-invasive, and it works especially well on flat and low-slope roofs (townhomes, additions, garages, and many commercial and condo buildings). We confirm findings with moisture metering. It is not a structural roof inspection or a roof-life estimate — it's about moisture and the mold risk it carries.
